Data Collection

Like many website operators, we collect data that your browser sends whenever you visit our various platforms. Data can include a wide variety of statistics that help us better serve our job seekers and clients. Examples include your Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser type, the pages of our website you view and the times that you visit.

When you submit a form on our website (such as a job application or a job alert sign-up), we use your IP address to protect the form from spam and abuse, including limiting how many submissions can be sent in a short time. Our forms are also protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a person, not a bot, is sending them.

Job applications, resumes and the contact forms you submit through our website are sent by email to our recruiters through our email provider: Resend. If you sign up for job alerts, your email address, the job titles you chose and the date you gave consent are stored in Zoho Recruit, our applicant tracking system, so we can email you new matching jobs. You can unsubscribe from job alerts at any time using the link in every alert email.

Job Seekers

Personal information such as your resume and information about your career goals and compensation is collected to assess your fit for potential opportunities with our clients. Your personal information, once collected, is released to a client only for the purpose of presenting you for a specific career opportunity.

If we collect personal, financial or corporate information for invoicing purposes, it will be used for billing and tax purposes only.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with third parties.

Partners

Your name, business title and business address are collected from public sources or directly from you. This information is not sold, leased or shared with any third parties, except where you give us a testimonial: your name, business title and company are then shown with it, with your knowledge and consent. We may use your general information to correspond with you, or to respond to your inquiries, as required.

While partnering with you, we collect job descriptions, agreements, proprietary information, company culture information and details of your recruitment processes. We maintain this information and use it to provide you with candidates who fit your job requirements and align to your company culture and processes.

Third Parties

In addition to the above, we may use third party services such as marketing analytics tools that help enhance MasterTech’s brand and presence across a variety of advertising mediums. Service providers that process data on our behalf are Google Analytics (website analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies), Resend (sending applications, resumes and emails), Zoho Recruit (applicant tracking and job alert sign-ups) and Cloudflare Turnstile (bot protection on our forms). We will not sell or rent your personal or business information to third parties.

Cookies

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use our website. Google Analytics sets “cookies” only after you choose “Accept” in the cookie banner; until then, and if you choose “Decline”, no analytics cookies are set. Your choice is saved in your browser (local storage) so we do not ask again on every page. You can change it at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page. You can also instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. Security

The security of your Personal Information is of the utmost importance to us. We have taken steps to protect it as best we can, however we cannot guarantee its security, as there is no method of internet transmission or electronic storage that is 100% secure.

Retention and Your Choices

We keep contact and application information for as long as needed to provide recruitment services and to meet legal obligations, then delete it. You can ask us what information we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted at any time, using the contact form.

Changes

This Privacy Policy is continuously monitored to ensure that it aligns with the Canadian Privacy Act. We reserve the right to update or change this policy at any time, and you should review it periodically. Your continued use of our services after we post any modifications on this page constitutes your acknowledgment of the modifications and your consent to be bound by the modified Privacy Policy. If we make any material changes, we will notify you either through the email address you have provided us, or by placing a prominent notice on our website.
