A data center is judged on uptime, so the people who keep it running get hired on judgement. A critical facility technician who can follow a method of procedure to the letter, read a BMS alarm and work a switchgear transfer without drama is rare, and the operators who have one know it.
The build side moves just as fast. Superintendents, electricians and commissioning agents get pulled from project to project as new capacity comes online, so we recruit from people who are already on a build and screen on the power, cooling and controls systems they have actually installed and tested.
Tell us whether the role is operations or construction, the shift pattern and the equipment on site. Power, cooling and controls are different searches, and we run them that way.
